When I decide to try a new editing service, I usually choose websites that target their services towards students. The reasons for that are simple: these services are usually cheaper, and the editors are (usually!) aware of the academic formatting standards.
EditorsForStudents.com is a website that offers proofreading services starting from $3 per page. That’s really cheap considering the average pricing in the industry. However, the lack of functionality at the website and missed deadlines undermine the reputation of this service.
The company provides proofreading, editing and formatting services for essays, dissertations, admission essays (improperly written as admissions essays in the main menu), and resumes. The college paper editing service includes proofreading, structural coherence, formatting, and improvement of logic, grammar, style and voice.
The price estimation form enables you to get a quote for the services you request. I wanted to get a book review of 800 words edited and went for the 24 hour express editing service. I also needed proper formatting, so I added the Turabian/Chicago & Layout option (costs $2 per page). The final price was calculated at $30.40, which is a pretty low price for the service I ordered.
Here is brief information for the pricing at EditorsForStudents.com:
- College paper editing services start from $6.50 per page;
- Essay proofreading services are priced $3 per page;
- The price for dissertation and thesis editing service is $4 per page;
- Express editing services cost $7.50 per page if the deadline is 48 hours and $8.50 per page for the 24-hour deadline;
- Resume editing services are provided with a price of $15 per page, and
- Admission essay editing services come with a quote of $10 per page.
The ordering process at EditorsForStudents.com is simple. First I uploaded the file and got accurate word count estimation by the service. I also chose the type of service I requested at this stage, and then provided payment information. I received a confirmation via email and started expecting the edited version of my book review.
Contact with the Writer
The editor was not available for contact. I thought of some additional guidelines I wanted to provide, but couldn’t find a way to get them to the writer. I don’t know if anyone reads the messages submitted through the contact form; all I know is that I didn’t get any response.
I was very disappointed when the content didn’t arrive on time. I tried contacting the service several times without success. Since the submission date was the following day, I had no other choice than to start editing the content by myself. I can never edit my own paper efficiently, so I ended up submitting a flawed paper that could’ve got me a better grade if I had entrusted it to another service.
The edited version by EditorsForStudents.com came two days late and the work was not satisfactory at all. Don’t be tricked by the low prices; this cheap service isn’t worthy of your investment.
